RainViewer aggregates precipitation radar data collected from weather services worldwide into a global radar mosaic. Callers can retrieve the weather-maps index listing the available past radar frames and forecast nowcast frames with their timestamps and tile paths, then request individual radar or infrared satellite map tiles by zoom, x and y — or a single-coordinate tile — choosing a color scheme, smoothing, snow display, and tile size. Useful for building animated rain maps or checking whether precipitation is approaching a location. No credentials required.
