GeoApi

GeoAPI is the French government's reference service for administrative geography. Callers can search and look up communes, departments, regions and EPCI groupings by name, postcode or INSEE code, retrieve a territory's population, area, centre coordinates and parent department or region, list the communes belonging to a department, and find the commune containing a given latitude and longitude. Responses can include GeoJSON boundary geometry for mapping. No credentials required.
