UK Carbon Intensity
The Carbon Intensity API is the official National Grid service reporting the carbon intensity of electricity generation across Great Britain. Callers can retrieve the current half-hourly intensity in grams of CO2 per kilowatt-hour, forecasts for the next 24 or 48 hours, historical intensity for any date or date range, the generation mix by fuel type, and regional figures broken down by GB region or postcode. Each reading returns both the forecast and, once settled, the actual measured value with an index rating. No credentials required.
What your agent can do with UK Carbon Intensity
Triggers and actions 9 actions
- ActionFind regional carbon intensity by postcode
Get carbon intensity data for the GB region matching a given postcode, optionally over a date range.
- ActionFind regional carbon intensity by region ID
Get carbon intensity data for a specific GB region by its region ID, optionally over a date range.
- ActionGet carbon intensity by date
Get the national carbon intensity data for a specific date, optionally narrowed to a half-hour settlement period.
- ActionGet carbon intensity factors
Get the CO2 emission factors used per generation fuel type in carbon intensity calculations.
- ActionGet carbon intensity statistics for a date range
Get average, min and max national carbon intensity statistics over a date range, optionally broken into blocks.
- ActionGet current national carbon intensity
Get the current forecast and actual carbon intensity for Great Britain's national grid.
- ActionGet national carbon intensity for a date range
Get national carbon intensity data across a from/to date range or a rolling forward/past window.
- ActionGet national generation mix
Get the national electricity generation mix by fuel type, currently or over a date range.
- ActionGet regional carbon intensity
Get current regional carbon intensity data for all GB regions, or for England, Scotland, or Wales.
No trigger or action matches that. Ask your agent to add it: it reads the API documentation and builds what you describe.

Need a trigger or action that is not here?
Ask your agent. Describe what you need in plain language and it reads the UK Carbon Intensity API documentation, builds the operation at whatever depth the API allows, tests every branch and ships it. The list above is what exists today, not the limit.
