iDigBio is a US national aggregator of digitized biological and paleontological museum specimens, exposing a search service over millions of records contributed by collections worldwide. Callers can search specimen records by scientific name, taxonomy, collector, catalog number, institution, country or locality, run geographic and date-range queries, retrieve a single record or media item by UUID, search associated specimen images, and request faceted counts or a download of matching records. No credentials required.
